Pearson Education - Facebook Blueprint

At Pearson Education, our team operated as an Internal Start Up. We worked with sales reps and tried to bring more corporate training into the company. We worked with American Family Insurance, Adobe, and Facebook.

Facebook wanted a SCORM-based training program that taught small business owners how to design an ad, use Facebook's targeted-marketing tools to get their ads to potential customers, and how to launch and manage an advertising campaign.

Facebook wanted us to use an open source Learning Content Management System to create the training and the Exceed Learning Management System to deliver the product and record tracking data. Myself and two other developers did the web development in Centennial, CO. We worked with a team of motion graphics specialist in Toronto, Canada to produce motion graphics. A company in Bosnia was tasked with performing testing on desktop, tablet, and phone devices. All of our subject-matter experts were in Cupertino, CA. Our team manager in Centennial acted as project manager and coordinated all our efforts.

The LCMS was built on Backbone, an early and influential JavaScript framework. The name of it escapes me. I went looking for it but came up empty. Blueprint is still online. It is the only public-facing project I've ever worked on.
